Bullrush Pith Pisanki by Halina

"Pisanki" are traditional decorative eggs made especially for Easter in Poland.

These pisanki were made by Halina in a very unique "oklejanka" technique - an eggshell is decorated with bullrush pith and coloured yarn. There aren’t so many artists who still make them and Halina made them especially for us. We are so excited to have them at Folka! Hope you like them too.

Each pisanka is very unique and hand made by Halina in Kurpie - a well known region for its unique folklore.
