Hand Painted Horse on Wheels Toy by Wiesia

Beautiful pull along horse hand carved in wood and then hand painted by a folk artist Wiesia. We adore her style - visible brush strokes and colourful dots.

Wooden toys have been made and loved for centuries across the globe. Birds, horses, cars, spinning dancers, just to name a few, have a long tradition in folk culture in Poland. Simple and beautiful, they were hand carved in local wood using traditional tools, then hand painted in bright colours and decorated with folk ornaments. Luckily, this craft has been passed through generations so we can enjoy these lovely wooden animals nowadays!

Each toy is unique and precious. Not only for kids. Looks very good on a adult’s desk as well.
