Experience traditional Easter customs and join incredible Palm Sunday procession. Discover Kurpie, its unique folklore and history while visiting local museums. Learn folk crafts straight from artists, who have been passing their traditions through generations.

Folka is excited to invite you to join our Easter Wander Folk Excursion! One extra day has been added to the itinerary to have more time to embrace local folk artists and craft.

We’ll meet in Warsaw on Tuesday the 24th March in the midday to visit the Ethnographic Museum together. Then, we’ll head towards Kurpie in the evening in the search of Easter customs. 

Each day will be packed with beauty, unique traditional crafts, and inspiring meetings with folk artists. You will discover the Kurpie unique folk crafts, explore wooden architecture, walk through an ancient forest and join colourful traditional carnival celebrations.

During craft workshops, you will learn how to paint on an eggshell with a hot wax to create a “pisanka” (Easter egg), how to twist crepe paper into flowers to make your own Easter Palm and how to cut paper to create an unique wycinanka (paper cut).

It’s always such a memorable experience to learn a craft straight from the artists and listen to their stories.

We will come back to Warsaw on Monday the 30th March in the morning.

Accommodation:

We will be staying in a lovely wooden hotel by the lake. Rooms are single. Breakfast is included in the price.

Transport:

We’ll be travelling in a comfortable minibus with a private driver. Our group will consist of maximum 7 people.

PLEASE NOTE:

There might be some changes in an itinerary.

You need to arrive in Warsaw at 12am on Tuesday 24th March at the latest to be able to join us at the Ethnographic Museum. 

There are 2 airports in Warsaw. Chopin airport (Wizzair, British Airways) is in the centre and Modlin airport is approx 1 hour away. We can help you to arrange a pick up from the airport.

You can come to Warsaw earlier and stay overnight if you prefer. We will help you to find a hotel.

 CANCELATION POLICY: 

As Kurpie Easter Excursion is happening soon we are unable to offer a refund once you confirmed and paid for the trip. We'll do our best to find a new participant.
