Love Bird by Marian

I called these birds "love birds" as there is a beautiful story behind them.

Marian, who makes them, used to help his wife Anna in her art studio. She was a sculptor,  she carved her favourite religious scenes, saint figures and birds in wood. Marian sometimes helped her with carving birds. Then, she used to paint them in her unique style - in bright colours with decorative patterns. Sadly, Anna died of cancer in 2019. Since then, Marian keeps making these birds to keep her memory alive. They still have their characteristic geometric head ornaments. 

Measurements: approx 14 cm x 14 cm x 6 cm 

Marian lives and works in Paszyn - a village known for its long folk sculpture tradition and many talented sculptors.
