Etruscan Earrings by Museum Reproductions
This lovely pair of earrings is adapted from a brooch in the collection of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. During the nineteenth-century, the Roman firm of Castellani retailed ornaments inspired by the past and simultaneously helped their collector-clients build ancient jewellery collections. Their close contact with Etruscan jewellery resulted in their mastery of ancient techniques like granulation and twisted wirework.
Materials: Gold plated pewter
Comes in an original pouch inside of Folka gift box.
Museum Reproductions has been creating jewellery for the museum gift store industry since 1969. Their designs are influenced by jewellery and artwork found in museums around the world. We love that they work hand in hand with museums, curators and other creators to make new pieces regularly.
