The Lotus, a water lily, is the flower customarily associated with ancient Egyptian culture. The blue lotus was the emblem of the god Nefertem - symbol of frangrance and beauty. It would open in the morning and close at dusk, signifying regeneration and rebirth.

Materials: Gold plated pewter with carnelian, sodalite, aventurine stones. Pewter is considered to be a precious metal and became popular in the Middle Ages.
